The Pass 2L gives you the opportunity to visit at your own path, alone, with friends or with your family to two unavoidable attractions of the city: the Fortified Castle and the Pic du Jer.
The Fortified Castle
This thousand-year-old fortress, which has never been conquered, is a listed historical monument and a museum of France. This site offers exceptional views of the city, the Sanctuaries and the Pyrenees. Within its walls there is also a botanical garden at the foot of the 14th-century keep, and the Pyrenean Museum.
Visit the most important collections about the history of the French and Spanish Pyrenees: ceramics and furniture from the 18th century, a shepherd’s hut, traditional costumes, miniature, Pyreneism…
The Pic du Jer
The Pic du Jer overlooks the city with the most beautiful view of the Pyrenees. The access via the funicular leads you to the top at 1000 meters high in a few minutes.
At the top, a botanic path leads you to the observatory where a unique belvedere offers you a 360° panoramic view over Lourdes and the Pyrenees summits like the Vignemale, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, the Montaigu...
The Pass 2L is on sale at the Tourism Office, at the Fortified Castle or at the Pic du Jer.
It is valid for one year and if you had not had enough time to visit one of both sites, you can come back during the year to finish the second activity.
The Fortified Castle is open all year long – The Pic du Jer is closed from November through March.
