The Médous caves (23 km from Lourdes) |
On the road leading to the Tourmalet and Aspin passes, along a 1km stretch, numerous stalactites, stalagmites and eccentrics as well as large formations of calcite (carbonate of quicklime) whose capricious forms evoke those of waterfalls, large organs, draperies and strange structures.
200 metres of the visit is done on a barge on the underground Adour.
